This is the last Will and Testament of me Hannah Hathornthwaite of Tong ue Moor in Littledale in the County of Lancaster Spinster made this twe nty seventh Day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight h undred and two In the first place I order and direct all my just Debts F uneral and Testamentary Expenses to be paid and……………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………etc
I give devise and bequeath unto my relation Richard Hathornthwaite of L ower Lee in Wyresdale in the said County and to 27 September 1802: The h is heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever  All and every m y Messuages Tenements Lands Grounds Hereditaments and real and personal e state and effects whatsoever and wheresoever   I give and bequeath unto J ane the Wife of John Parker (a Daughter of James Walmsley now or late o f Wyresdale in the said County) the clear yearly Annuity or annual paym ent of fifteen pounds payable by half yearly payments on the thirteenth d ay of February and the twelfth Day of August in each year during the te rm of her natural life the first payment to be made on such of the said d ays as shall first fall out and happen next after my Decease   And from a nd after the Decease of the said Jane Parker I give and bequeath the su m of Three hundred pounds unto and equally between and amongst John Tho mas and Mary three of the children of the said Jane Parker and to be pa yable at the end of twelve calendar months next after the Decease of th eir said Mother  And if any of the said children shall happen to die be fore payment of the said Legacy leaving lawful Issue surviving it is my W ill that such Issue shall take the Share and Part of the deceased paren t equally amongst them and if any of them die without leaving any such l awful Issue it is my Will and Mind that the share or shares of and in t he said Three hundred pounds of him her or them so dying shall go to th e Survivors or Survivor of them the said John Thomas and Mary the said c hildren of the said Jane Parker share and share alike   I give and bequ eath unto my relations Miss Elizabeth Hathornthwaite and Miss Margaret H athornthwaite both of Lower Lee aforesaid each the Legacy or Sum of Two H undred Pounds  And I give and bequeath the Legacy or Sum unto Mr Robert W alker now or lately residing at No 9 [?] White Cross Street London Groc er and Tea Dealer  And I also give and bequeath the Legacy or Sum of Tw o hundred pounds unto Elizabeth Fox who now lives with me  And I direct t hat the said Legacies to the said Elizabeth Hathornthwaite Margaret Hat hornthwaite Robert Walker and Elizabeth Fox shall be paid at the end of t welve calendar months next after my Decease  And with the payment of th e said Annuity and of all the said Legacies I expressly onerate and cha rge all my Estates and Effects real and personal    I constitute and ap point the said Richard Hathornthwaite sole Executor of this my Will whi ch revoking all others I declare to be my last Will and Testament  In W itness whereof I the said Hannah Hathornthwaite the Testatrix have here unto set my hand and Seal the day and year first before written

On the twenty sixth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand ei ght hundred and six this Will was proved in Common Form and Richard Hat hornthwaite sole Executor therein named was sworn well and faithfully t o execute and perform the same and so forth and that to the best of his k nowledge and belief the whole of the personal Estate and Effects of whi ch the Testatrix within named died possessed within the archdeaconry of R ichmond in the Diocese of Chester did not in real value amount to the S um of two Hundred Pounds
