In the name of God Amen   I John Hathornthwaite of Slacke within the pa rish of Slaidburn and County of Yorke Yeoman being somewhat sick in bod y but of perfect Mind & Memory praised bee almighty God for the same an d considering the uncertainty of Life and certainty of death doe this p resent seaventh day of June in the seaventh Year of King Georges Raigne o ver Great Brittaine & Anno Dom 1721 make publish and declare this my la st Will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) Fi rst and principallyI Recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God m y Creator hopeing through the death and passion of Jesus Christ my Rede emer my Sins will bee forgeiven mee and as for my Body I comitt the sam e to the Earth there to Expecte the Resurrection of the Righteous and t o bee decently Buryed att the discrecon of my Executrix hereafter named a nd for my worldly Estate which itt hath pleased Almighty God to bestow u pon mee after payment of my just Debts (if any) & Funerall Expences out t hereof I give and Bequeath the same as followeth  And first I give and b equeath unto James and Margrett Fox Son and Daughter of Benjamin Fox la te of Wyersdale in the County of Lancaster but now of the City of Londo n the sume of twelve pence apiece   Item I give and bequeath unto Rober t Hall Elizabeth Hall Margrett Hall and Mary Hall Son and Daughters of R obert Hall of the City of London aforesaid Tayler the Sume of twelve pe nce a piece All which said Sumes of Money I will and require shall bee p aid by my Executrix within Twelve Months next after my Decease  And as f or all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattells and persona l Estate whatsoever and wheresoever the same bee no herein before beque athed I give and bequeath the same to my Dear and well beloved Wife Dor athy Hathornthwaite whome I make sole Executrix of this my last Will an d testament hopeing shee will seethe same carefully performed  And doe h ereby revoke and make viod all former and other Will and Wills Testamen t and testaments heretofore by mee made published or declared  I Wittne ss whereof I have hereunto sett my Hand and Seale the said Seaventh day o f June Anno Dm 1721
