In the Name of God Amen  I Elizabeth Haythornthwite late of Scorton w ithin Netherwyersdale in the County of Lancaster widd: being aged and i nfirme of bodye but of sounde  perfect and dissposeing minde and memory e praised bee God for the same doe make and ordaine this my last Will a nd Testamt in Manner and Forme following hereby revokeing all oth: will s whatsoever by mee heretofore made   First and principallye I commende m y soule into the hands of Allmightye God my body I committ to the Earth t o bee decentlye buryed att the disscrecon of my Executrs hereinafter na med  And as toucheing such temporall Estate as it hath pleased Allmight y God to bestowe upon mee I give and dispose thereof as followeth  Firs t then it is my will and minde that out of my personal Estate all my de bts and funeral expences bee paide and discharged  Item  I give and beq ueath unto my well beloved Sone John Haythornthwite and David his broth er Haythornthwite all that my Messuage Outhouseing Lands and freehold s ituate lyeing and being in Forton in the sd.County by mee late heretofo re purchas’d of one Robt Mason of Forton aforesd and the same is now in t he possession of my said sone David Haythornthwite or his Assignes toge ther with all its rights members and appurtenances with all my whole es tate right tithe intrest propertye clayme and demande whatsoever of ino r unto the same or any part thereof in any wise  To Hold unto the said J ohn Hathornthwite and David Haythornthwite and there Heires and Assigne s Equally betwixt them absolutely for ever charg’d and chargeable with t he paymt of the severall sums of money to the severall and respective p ersons hereinafter named that is to say first I give and bequeath unto m y sone William Haythornthwite forty pounds  Item  I give unto my sone T homas Haythornthwite tenne pounds   Item  I give unto Robert his sone m y grandchilde twenty pounds   Item  I give unto my daughter Elizabeth G ibbson wife of Thomas Gibbson of Over Kellett in the sd. County thirty p ounds    Item  I give unto Hanna my daught: wife of Robt Sharples of Ta rnaker tenne pounds  I give unto Sarah my daught: wife of Henry Clarkso n of Wynmarleigh five shillings Item  I give unto John Saule my Grandso ne five pounds   Item  I give unto Anne Jepson my Grand daught: forty s hillings  Item I give unto my Daught: Agnes wife of John Corles of Elle l five shillings   Item I give unto  my Grand daughter Elizabeth daught er of David Haythornthwite aforesd: tenne pounds  Item  I give unto my G rand daught: Elizabeth Tompson daughter of William Tompson of Caton in t he sd. County decd tenne shillings Item  Whereas I have severall househ old goods and utensils now standing & being in the now dwelling house a nd out housing of my sone Thomas Hathornthwite att Kellat aforesd. The s d.Goods household goods & utensils I give and bequeath unto Willm my sd . Sone if hee fortune to Marry but if in case hee dye and depart this l ife without lawfull Issue that then it is my Will and mind that the sam e goe and bee Imployed to the use  and behoofe of Thomas my sd. Sone an d Heires for ever Item  all the rest residue and remainder of all and s ingular my goods Cattells Chattells & household stuffe and personal est ate whatsoever I give and devisee unto my sones  John Hathornthwite and D avid Haythornthwite equally to bee devided betweene them absolutely for e ver whome allsoe I doe hereby constitute and appointe joynte Executors o f this my last Will and Testamt. Desireing them to pay and discharge al l and singular the before mentioned severall legasscies and bequests to t he severall legatees within thes pace of two months next after my decea se and persnallye allsoe to performe all other matters incident to my i ntention and Will as my trust is in them reposed  In witness whereof I h ave hereunto sett my hand and seale this nineteenth day of December One t housand seven hundred and Nine   1709
